Going Live…

Petals Farm & Garden is live….

This day is finally here. I have been searching for words to explain how I feel.  This is the beginning for Petals Farm & Garden. And sharing this with all of you gives me excitement and nervousness, and relief and gratitude.   Without a doubt, it has been with hard work and perseverance to make this opening day for the website happen. With determination and confidence I am ready to share it with the world and open my doors to 2020.

During this short time in 2020 we have already experienced great triumph, overcome obstacles and picked ourselves up from below.  Petals Farm and Garden website announcement is finally here. You know what, we are almost three weeks late. We were scheduled to announce our website on March 1st.  On March 1st, life was what I considered normal. We were dropping kids off at school, planning for our spring season, we were out at events, and running into the grocery store.  Life was busy, sometimes hectic but, we were moving forward in a positive direction. In just over two weeks life as we know it, feels paused. Feels slow. It feels quiet and yes, I’m going to say it, anxious.   If I wrote this announcement two weeks ago, It would have sounded like this.

As we turn our heads from winter to spring I can not help but think of spring skies getting brighter,  the thawing earth a bit bumpier and the crisp air damp and warm at the same time. All of my favorite things to feel while driving in a work truck up my driveway.  As the tires slowly turn and sink in the mud, these ruts are worn and soft, the snow and ice and rains carried the water down the hill in the quickest path, the water washed out the smallest pebbles and left behind the veins of the weakest places.  And in those veins is strength which the road uses as it’s foundation. Every year Maine brings cold wet winters, and every spring the skies turn brighter and the water runs. Sometimes it washes away some of the structure and strength from the previous year but it always leaves the foundation, which was created in the beginning.  Today marks my beginning. My year to build and to add structure and to set my pace. Building takes time, sometimes it takes strategy and patience. I have arrived. I am so proud of how far I have come. I know this opportunity is here because of the support I have received. Support from clients, who inspire me, my family, whose patience and nudge allowed me to reach higher than I ever have.  My husband, who is there for me when I need anything. This announcement may be almost three weeks late and the world may be uncertain tomorrow, but I do know this, my dream is still alive today. My future is bright and flowers are all around. Follow me on this journey, we will persevere.
